We go to English Martyrs School and during this year we have been doing a project on World War Two. We have brought in artifacts from recent and previous years. Some dating back to as far as 1920 to the more recent date of 1987. Our teacher, Mr Carver who is very enthusiastic, has taught us many things about WW1 and WW2. But sadly all of Mr Carver's hard work and pupils GCSE course work has been burnt down by vandels who broke into the school. But thankfully we can still remember much of what we have been taught. From evacuation to rationing and from air raid precautions to prisoners of war. We have prepared some radio interviews for you to listen to and have photographed old family heirlooms for you to see, these include: old photographs, medals, toys, jewellery and other historical artifacts. We hope you find this site interesting and fun. |
