This site houses the Music produced by Students from English Martyrs School at a Sly Arts Sampling Workshop June 2001

Aims of the Workshop:

Each student will produce his/her own 30 second music track, featuring their individual live sample* as part of the sequence.
Students will experience digital recording techniques, and through music technology, manipulate digital sound to a musical end. They will each produce a professional standard recording of their work, ready to master to CD, and to publish through the Artsark web site.
To provide each pupil (and teacher) with the opportunity to experience the use of ICT in its widest context.

Objectives:

Enable all participants to experience creative music making, using different sound sources in a practical way.
Enhance IT skills through music technology, with hands-on experience of industry standard equipment…Cubase or Acid, Soundforge, samplers, Dat machines, microphones etc.
