FIREWORKS
The last time I heard this,
Was in the nineteen forties,
I remember the house next door was bombed till it was ashes.
We were scared we were frightened,
I cried to my mother, When will this misery end?
HEY GRANDMA!
Look at that firework Wow It’s beautiful
Wow look at that fireworks go boom,
I can see all the colours shining in my room,
Whooshing, glitter stars and sparks
Lighting up the terrifying dark.
I wonder what the future will hold,
When we turn wrinkly and old,
Will we have flying cars that will land on the planet mars?
I must forget about the past
And think ahead into the future
